12:18am. A train passes, blowing it’s whistle. I love this sound, in the dark still of the night. It reminds me of childhood, and of being at my great-grandparents house where the train would pass just before dawn… I would listen to it in the quiet morning-dark. It is comforting.

Confession: Nonfaced bills are a serious pet peeve of mine. Serious. Pet. Peeve. I received change last night, and every bill was turned a different direction and facing a different way……. what is so hard about facing the bills? WHY is that such a challenge for people? And why does this bother me so much?
