Apparently, it’s National Poetry Day. I came within an hour of missing this auspicious day, but in honor of it am going to share one of my favorite poems:

THE WORLD is charged with the grandeur of God.
It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
